Description
La Terza Classe Band w/opener Sweet Mercy!
Friday, November 17
Show: 8p | Doors: 7p
Tickets: $15From the streets of the ancient city of Naples, Italy to the rugged shoulders of the Appalachian Mountains, La Terza Classe has created an authentic and original sound rooted in the soul of Italy and the heart of American roots music.
With a proven appeal to a wide variety of listening audiences, from teenagers to “blue hairs,” La Terza Classe is positioned to take it to the next level by performing at larger theaters and festivals, recording new music for sync licensing and album/single sales and foraying into film, television and web series.
Together for seven years, La Terza Classe have been diligent students of American music and the cultures from which it sprang.
The band’s interpretation of bluegrass, folk and spiritual standards such as Wayfaring Stranger, Molly and Tenbrooks, Cherokee Shuffle and Got my Mojo Working demonstrate their unique connection to Americana-music. Their natural ability and passion infuses every song with a special energy and drive that enlivens even the most often played tune. As true artists the band interprets the music and makes a sound all their own. The band’s original songs are pop/folk of the highest caliber and are on par with today’s hit bands like Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers, Avett Brothers and Greensky Bluegrass.
In 2014 La Terza Classe produced their first EP, “Ready to Sail.” In May 2016, the second record was “Folkshake” an homage to their study of and love for American music. Over the years, La Terza Classe has toured Europe and the United States (2014 through 2019). The band has been featured on many American radio shows and has played four years in a row at “Music City Roots” in Nashville, TN, performed twice at the “Bluegrass Underground” opening for Grand Ol’ Opry legends Dailey and Vincent. Recently they played at SXSW in Austin, TX. They also performed on the 2016 edition of “Italy’s got Talent.” La Terza Classe created a documentary “Flat Tyre – An American Music Dream” about their first trip to the USA which won Best Documentary at The Naples Film Festival in 2016 and Salento International Film Festival. In Oct 2018, the band released the new EP called “La Terza Classe.”
