2025 Academic Scholarship Application Period Open
The COMO is now accepting applications for 2025 scholarships
[Stonington, CT] - Stonington residents enrolled in college and high school seniors pursuing higher education are encouraged to apply to the seven scholarship awards administered by the Stonington Community Center (COMO). The scholarship application period is open now. Scholarships available include the Josh Piver Memorial Fund, the Francis Drake Endowment Fund, the Robert and Doris Ramsbotham Scholarship Endowment Fund, the Frank Turek Scholarship Endowment Fund, the Mary H. Boatwright Endowment Fund, the Whitman Award Scholarship, and the Beth-Ann Stewart Arts & Pottery Scholarship.
The COMO is proud to administer scholarship funds to help support the continuing education of Stonington’s youth. Applications are due to the COMO by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, for consideration. Learn more about eligibility requirements and download applications at www.thecomo.org/scholarships.

The Stonington Community Center, fondly known as the COMO, was founded in 1945, as a nonprofit with the goals of strengthening families and community. Over the years the COMO’s 16-acre campus has grown to include its own classrooms, Thrift Shop, four decoTurf tennis courts, pottery studio, paddle tennis facility, and athletic fields. The COMO provides a wide range of educational, enrichment, athletic, family and community partnership programs throughout the year.
