• Administrative Assistant (Non-Profit)

    An administrative assistant is responsible for performing various administrative and clerical tasks to support the smooth operation of the office, including answering phones, greeting visitors, managing mail distribution, maintaining filing systems, ordering office supplies, processing bank deposits and entering invoices for payment.   

    Key responsibilities may include: 

    • Financial record-keeping: Maintaining and updating financial records and documents, including bank statements, invoices, and receipts  

    • Financial reporting: Preparing and generating financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements  

    • Financial transactions: Recording financial transactions, including purchases, sales, and payments  

    • Accounts: Managing accounts payable and receivable, and processing payroll  

    • Budgeting: Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring expenses  

    • Communication: Communicating with clients and vendors to resolve discrepancies  

    • Other: Reviewing expenditure and incoming monies, matching payments with invoices, and reporting suspicious activity 

     

    Occasional responsibilities: 

    • Backup Fundraising Assistant 

    Required skills and qualifications: 

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
    • ?Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks 

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

    • Passion for the organization's mission and commitment to fundraising goals
