About Us

The mission of Stonington Free Library is to enrich lives and build community by bringing information, ideas and people together. If you live or have property in the Town of Stonington, including Pawcatuck, Old Mystic, and the Stonington side of Mystic, we are your hometown library! Sign up for a library card on our website or stop by with proof of residency. We give borrowing privileges to residents of other Connecticut towns and Westerly, RI at no charge--just bring in your hometown library card. We provide access to physical and digital books, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, movies and tv shows. We also lend WiFi hotspots, chromebooks, Nintendo switch games and systems. We have indoor and outdoor work areas with free WiFi access. We offer free programs for all ages including storytimes, reading programs, book groups, a knitting group, lecture series, tech help, homebound delivery and more. We also provide printing, scanning and faxing services.
